OUR STORY

Why fightmypcn Exists

Founded after our founder personally defeated a county court claim from DCB Legal in 2024.

The Story

In 2024, I received a county court claim from DCB Legal over a private parking charge at my gym. The original charge was under £100. By the time it reached court, they were claiming over £250 in fees, costs, and interest.

I spent weeks researching the law. POFA 2012. The Consumer Rights Act 2015. The Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims. I drafted my own defence, filed it with the court, and the claim was struck out.

The process taught me two things. First, that many private parking charges have genuine legal weaknesses that operators rely on people not knowing about. Second, that finding and applying this information takes significant time and legal knowledge that most people do not have.

A solicitor would have charged me £200 to £300 to do what I spent weeks doing myself. fightmypcn exists so you do not have to make that same choice between spending weeks on research or hundreds on legal fees.

The same legal grounds I used in my own case (POFA 2012, CRA 2015, and the Pre-Action Protocol) are applied to your case, in a document ready to file.

Who Is Behind This

Israel Bankole built fightmypcn after personally defeating a DCB Legal county court claim.

What fightmypcn Is

  • A defence document structured for UK county court submission
  • Citations of the specific POFA 2012 and CRA 2015 grounds that apply to your case
  • A filing checklist with exact deadlines
  • The document is yours to review, edit, and file

What fightmypcn Is Not

  • fightmypcn is not a solicitors' firm and does not provide legal representation
  • We do not attend court on your behalf
  • We do not guarantee case outcomes. Parking charge cases depend on specific facts and judicial discretion
  • For complex cases or cases with significant personal circumstances, we recommend consulting a solicitor
